  • 简介:Inthispaper,weinvestigateflowswithmovingcontactlinesoncurvedsolidwallsonadual-resolutiongridusingadiffuse-interfaceimmersed-boundary(DIIB)method.Thedual-resolutiongrid,onwhichtheflowsaresolvedonacoarsemeshwhiletheinterfaceisresolvedonafinemesh,wasshowntosignificantlyimprovethecomputationalefficiencywhensimulatingmultiphaseflows.Ontheotherhand,theDIIBmethodisabletoresolvedynamicwettingoncurvedsubstratesonaCartesiangrid,butitusuallyrequiresameshofhighresolutioninthevicinityofamovingcontactlinetoresolvethelocalflow.Inthepresentstudy,wecoupletheDIIBmethodwiththedual-resolutiongrid,toimprovetheinterfaceresolutionforflowswithmovingcontactlinesoncurvedsolidwallsatanaffordablecost.Thedynamicbehaviorofmovingcontactlinesisvalidatedbystudyingdropspreading,andthenumericalresultssuggestthattheeffectivesliplengthλ_ncanbeapproximatedby1.9Cn,whereCnisadimensionlessmeasureofthethicknessofthediffuseinterface.Wealsoapplythemethodtodropimpactontoaconvexsubstrate,andtheresultsonthedual-resolutiongridareingoodagreementwiththoseonasingle-resolutiongrid.ItshowsthattheaxisymmetricsimulationsusingtheDIIBmethodonthedual-resolutiongridsavesnearly60%ofthecomputationaltimecomparedwiththatonasingle-resolutiongrid.
