CalciumhydroxytitanateformedinBayerdigestionprocessofchinesediasporicbauxitewasstudied.InterplanarspacingsofcalciumhydroxytitanatecrystalweredeterminedbyXRDanalysis.Onlyoneendothermicpeakoccursat550~560℃ontheDTAcurveofthiscompound.IRspectrometrystudyhasrevealedthathydroxyldoesexistincalciumhydroxytitanateinsteadofcrystalwater.ObservationunderSEMhasindicatedthatitscrystalgrainsareintheshapeofregularhexagonalplateswith2~8μminedgelengthandlessthan1μminthickness.TheinfluencesofvariousdigestionconditionsontheformationandtransformationofcalciumhydroxytitanateandotherCa-Ti-containingcompounds,suchaslimeaddition;contentanddistributionstateofTiO2inbauxite;digestiontemperatureandretentiontime,werefurtherstudied.
