ThecomponentsofexpansivesoilwereanalyzedwithEDAX,anditisshownthatthemaincontentsofexpansivesoilinthenorthernHubeihavesomesignificanteffectsonengineeringpropertiesofexpansivesoil.Furthermore,thesoilmodifiedbylimehasanobviousincreaseofCa2+andanimprovementofconnectionsbetweengranulessoastoreducetheexpansibilityandcontractilityofsoil.Anditalsohasabettereffectonthemodifiedexpansivesoilthantheonemodifiedbypulverizedfuelash.
