Duetothegoodperformanceoftrackinglowelevationtargetascomparedtomicrowaveandthesuperiorityinpenetratingsmoke,dust,fog,anddrysnowascomparedtoinfrared,aKuandKadualbandexperimentalradarwasdesignedanddeveloped.ThisKuandKadualbandexperimentalradarisanarnplitute-comparisonmonopulsetrackingandguidingradar.Theconstitutionandparametersofthisradarisdescribedinparagraph2.Paragraph3dealswithtwoexperimentsfortestingthetrackingperformancesagainstlowelevationtarget,andgivestheimportantresults.BothKuandKabandhavehightrackingprecisionwhentheytrackhighelevationtargets,whileKabandhasmuchbettertrackingperformancethanKubandwhentheytracklowelevationtargets.Kabandcantrackahelicopter,whoseradarcrosssectionisabout6squaremeters,at40m,20m,10m,andeven5mabovesea.Kubandcanonlytrackthesamehelicopterat160mandhigherabovesea.
