Soilconsolidationwouldinducevariationsofitstransportcoefficientssuchashydraulicconductivityanddiffusioncoefficient.Thispaperpresentsastudyoftheinfluenceofbarrierconsolidationontransportcoefficients,anda3Dtransportmodelbasedonmixturetheoryisproposedfordescribingthelinersthatinvolvecirculardefectsinthegeomembrane.TheelastoplasticALPHAmodelisrevisedbyusingthespatiallymobilizedplane(SMP)criterionforsimulatingthedeformationofthesoils.Then,the3Dmodelcouplingthenonlinearconsolidationandcontaminantadvection-diffusionissolvedusingthefiniteelementsoftwareABAQUS.Theresultsshowthattheimportanceofreducingthedefectsizeinthegeomembraneandthelinerporositytocontrolthecontaminantconcentrationincrease.
