Theeffectsofsamarium(Sm)oncarbon-methanationandcatalyticactivityoftheBa-Ru-K/AC(activecarbon)catalystforammoniasynthesiswereinvestigated.Theadditionofsamariumimprovedsignificantlytheactivityandstabilityofthecatalyst.Theresultsoftemperature-programmeddesorption(H2-TPD)andin-situ-TPSRFTIRindicatedthatsamariumimpededtheadsorptionofhydrogenonthecatalystsurface,thusleadingtothehighcatalyticactivityandresistancetocarbon-methanation.XRDpatternsreve...
