摘要
Thepresentinvestigationdescribesanovelmethodforpreparingsphericalchitosanparticlesbasedoncrosslinkingwithepichlorohydrin.Certainamountofpre-crosslinkingagentwasaddedtoformchitosangelsbytraditionalinversephasesuspensionpolymerization.Thenthegelswerecrosslinkedbyepichlorohydrinatbasicconditiontoobtainchitosanbeads.Theeffectsofreactionconditions,suchascrosslinkingtime,theamountofcrosslinkingagentandtheNaOttconcentration,onthephysicalpropertiesofthechitosanbeadswereinvestigated.Thebeadswerefoundtohavemoreaminogroupsinthepolymerchainsthanthebeadscrosslinkedbyglutaraldehyde.Thecapacityforcopperionsisashighas40mg/g.Thebeadshavegoodmechanicalstrengthandcanbereused.
