ElNinoaswellastheSouthernOscillationisoneofthestrongestsignalsknownsofaroverclimaticnoiseininterannualvariationsoftheatmosphereandoceans.Agreatnumberofstudieshaveshowndefinitelyrelationshipsbe-tweentheeventsandclimaticanomaliesinChina.Inthisreview,observationalresultsobtainedintherecentseveralyearsarefirstsummarized.ThenthepossiblephysicalmechanismsontheinfluenceofElNinoarepresentedand,finally,theassociatedproblemsarediscussed.
