摘要 Dynamicmodelingofacantileverbeamunderanaxialmovementofitsbasementispresent-ed.ThedynamicequationofmotionforthecantileverbeamisestablishedbyusingKane’sequationfirstandthensimplifiedthroughtheRayleigh-Ritzmethod.Comparedwiththeoldermodelingmethod,whichlineari-zesthegeneralizedinertiaforcesandthegeneralizedactiveforces,thepresentmodehngtakesthecoupledcubicnonlinearitiesofgeometricalandinertialtypesintoconsideration.Themethodofmultiplescalesisusedtodirectlysolvethenonlineardifferentialequationsandtoderivethenonlinearmodulationequationfortheprincipalparametricresonance.Theresultsshowthatthenonlinearinertiatermsproduceasofteningeffectandplayasignificantroleintheplanarresponseofthesecondmodeandthehigherones.Ontheotherhand,thenonlineargeometrictermsproduceahardeningeffectanddominatetheplanarresponseofthefirstmode.Thevalidityofthepresentmodelingisclarifiedthroughthecomparisonsofitscoefficientswiththoseexperimentallyverifiedinpreviousstudies.
