摘要
Experimentaldata,obtainedfrompreviousstudies,onCriticalTractiveStress(CTS)ofnon-uniformsediments,havebeenusedtoverifytheadequacyofexistingrelationshipsforCTSofnon-uniformbimodalsediments.Keepinginviewtheperformanceofsuchrelationships,anewrelationshipforcomputationofdimensionlessCTSofindividualsizefractionofnon-uniformunimodalandbimodalsedimentshasbeenproposedintheformofpowerlaw.Thecoefficientandexponentoftheproposedpowerlawhavebeenempiricallycorrelatedwithsedimentcharacteristicsforavailablesedimentdata.Theproposedrelationshiphasbeenvalidatedwithindependentflumeandfielddatatoassesstheirapplicabilityforunimodalandbimodalsediments.
