Simulations and Measurement of Electron Energy and Effective Electron Temperature of Nanosecond Pulsed Argon Plasma

摘要 Thebehaviorofargonplasmadrivenbynanosecondpulsedplasmainalow-pressureplasmareactorisinvestigatedusingaglobalmodel,andtheresultsarecomparedwiththeexperimentalmeasurements.ThetimeevolutionofplasmadensityandtheelectronenergyprobabilityfunctionarecalculatedbysolvingtheenergybalanceandBoltzmannequations.Duringandshortlyafterthedischargepulse,theelectronenergyprobabilityfunctioncanberepresentedbyabi-Maxwelliandistribution,indicatingtwoenergygroupsofelectrons.Accordingtotheeffectiveelectrontemperaturecalculation,wefindthattherearemorehigh-energyelectronsthatplayanimportantroleintheexcitationandionizationprocessesthanlow-energyelectrons.Theeffectiveelectrontemperatureisalsomeasuredviaopticalemissionspectroscopytoevaluatethesimulationmodel.Inthecomparison,thesimulationresultsarefoundtobeinagreementwiththemeasurements.Furthermore,variationsoftheeffectiveelectrontemperaturearepresentedversusotherdischargeparameters,suchaspulsewidthtime,pulserisetimeandgaspressure.
