  • 简介:Weemployedametallicwiregratingloadedwithgrapheneandoperatingintotalinternalreflection(TIR)geometrytorealizedeepandbroadbandTHzmodulation.Thenon-resonantfieldenhancementeffectoftheevanescentwaveinTIRgeometryandinthesubwavelengthwiregratingwascombinedtodemonstratea-77%modulationdepth(MD)inthefrequencyrangeof0.2–1.4THz.ThisMD,achievedelectricallywithaSiO2∕Sigatedgraphenedevice,was4.5timeshigherthanthatofthedevicewithoutametalgratingintransmissiongeometry.Byoptimizingtheparametersofthemetallicwiregrating,therequiredsheetconductivityofgraphenefordeepmodulationwasloweredto0.87mS.ThisworkhaspotentialapplicationsinTHzcommunicationandreal-timeTHzimaging.

  • 简介:BackgroundThepresenceofachronictotalocclusion(CTO)inanon-infarct-relatedarterymightbeassociatedwithaworseprognosisinlongtermbenefitforST-segmentelevationmyocardialinfarction(STEIMI)patients.Butitstillremaincontroversial.MethodsAll383STEMIpatientsunderwentpercutaneousintervention(PCI)fromJan2015toJan2017inourcenterwereenrolledinthisprospectivestudy.Baselinecharacteristics,medicalhistory,biochemicalfindings,echocardiographicandangiographicparameters,proceduresperformedandcomplicationswererecorded.FactorsrelatedtoworseoutcomeCTOinSTEMIpatientswereanalyzedbythecoxlogisticregressionanalysisforthehazardrate(HR).ResultsInatotalof383patientsenrolledinthisstudy,85caseshadCTOinatleast1coronaryartery.Themeanfollow-upwas352days.1-yearmortalityandMACEratesinpatientswithCTOwere18.8%and11.8%,respectively.Majoradversecardiacevents(MACE)duringfollow-upweresignificantlyhigherinpatientswithCTO(HR=2.88;95%CI,1.82-4.77;P<0.001).ThemultivariateanalysisshowedasignificantassociationbetweenCTOandMACE(HR=2.1195%CI,1.27-3.88;P=0.014).ConclusionChronictotalocclusionisassociatedwithhigherriskofcomorbiditiesandhighermortality,andservesasanindependentpredictorofMACE.

  • 简介:Purpose:Theaimofthisstudywastoinvestigatetheinfluenceofthecardiorespiratoryfitnesslevelontheresponsetohigh-intensityintervaltraining(HIIT)withanindividuallyadjustedrunningspeedofthesamerelativeintensity.Theevaluationfocusedonacutecardiorespiratoryresponse,postexercisecardiacautonomicmodulation(heartratevariability(HRV))andbiochemicalmarkersofinflammation,oxidativestress,andmuscledamage.Methods:Thirtyparticipantsweredividedinto3subgroups:welltrained,moderatelytrained,anduntrained.Alltheparticipantsperformed30minHIITcomposedof6×2minintervalexercisewithwork-to-reliefratio=1andworkintensity100%ofindividualvelocityatmaximaloxygenconsumption(VO2max).Acutecardiorespiratoryvariables,postexerciseHRV,lactate,interleukin-6(IL-6),totalantioxidantcapacity(TAC),creatinekinase,andmyoglobinupto4hafterHIITweremonitored.Results:Thedifferencesinrelativelyexpressedcardiorespiratoryvariables(heartrate,VO2)duringHIITwereatmostmoderate,withthemostpronouncedbetween-groupdifferencesinabsoluteVO2values.ThedisruptionofthepostexerciseHRVwasthemostpronouncedinuntrainedindividuals,andthisdifferencepersisted1hafterHIIT.ThehighestpostexerciseIL-6andTACconcentrationsandthelowestchangesincreatinekinaseandmyoglobinwererevealedinwell-trainedindividuals.Conclusion:Thehigherfitnesslevelwasassociatedwiththelesspronouncedpostexercisecardiacautonomicchangesandtheirfasterrestoration,evenwhenthereweresimilaracutecardiorespiratoryresponses.ThesefindingsweresimultaneouslyaccompaniedbythehigherpostexerciseIL-6andTACconcentrationsandlesssignificantchangesinmuscledamagebiochemicalmarkersinwell-trainedindividuals.

  • 简介:AIMToexploretheprotectiveeffectsandunderlyingmechanismsoftotalpolysaccharidesoftheSijunzidecoction(TPSJ)ontheepithelialbarriersinvitro.METHODSCaco-2cellmonolayersweretreatedwithorwithoutTPSJinthepresenceorabsenceofTNF-α,andparacellularpermeabilityandtransepithelialelectricalresistance(TEER)weremeasuredtoevaluatetheepithelialbarrierfunction.Immunofluorescenceandwesternblottingwererespectivelyusedtoevaluatethedistributionandexpressionofthetightjunctionproteinsclaudin1,claudin2,zo3,andoccludininCaco-2cells.Westernblottingwasalsousedtoevaluatethecellularexpressionofmyosinlightchain(MLC),phosphorylatedMLC(pMLC),MLCkinase(MLCK),andnuclearfactor(NF)-κBp65.RESULTSTPSJpromotedtheproliferationofCaco-2cellsandinhibitedTNF-α-inducedsecretionofpro-inflammatorycytokines.Furthermore,TPSJsignificantlyamelioratedboththereductionofTEERandtheincreasedparacellularpermeabilityobservedintumornecrosisfactor(TNF)-α-damagedCaco-2monolayers.Furthermore,TPSJremarkablyattenuatedTNF-α-inducedmorphologicalchanges,downregulatedtheexpressionofclaudin1,claudin2,zo3,andoccludin,andmarkedlysuppressedTNF-α-mediatedupregulationofp-MLCandMLCKexpression.Finally,TPSJinhibitedtheactivationandexpressionofNF-κBp65.CONCLUSIONOurresultsdemonstratethatTPSJalleviatestheTNF-α-inducedimpairmentoftheintestinalepithelialcellbarrierfunctionbysuppressingNF-κBp65-mediatedphosphorylationofMLCKandMLC.
