  • 简介:HightemperatureoxidationbehavioroftwokindsofnitridebondedSiCbasedrefractorieswasinvestigatedat11001500℃bymeansofX-raydiffractometer,scanningelectronicmicroscopyandthermogravimetry.Theresultsshowthat:(1)withthetemperatureincreasing,theoxidationmassincrementrateofthespecimenincreasesfirstandthendecreases,andoxidationpassivationoccurs;(2)theoxidationresistanceofSiAlONbondedSiCrefractoriesissuperiortothatofSi3N4bondedSiCrefractories;(3)hightemperatureoxidationresultsintheincreaseofcompressivestrengthatroomtemperatureofSiCbasedrefractoriescomparedwithspecimenbeforeoxidation;thecompressivestrengthofSiAlONbondedSiCspecimensoxidizedathightemperaturesdecreaseswiththeincreaseofthetemperatureasaresultofformationandburstofsurfacebubble,whilethedecreaseofcompressivestrengthofSi3N4bondedSiCspecimensoxidizedathightemperaturesisowingtotheincreaseoftheconsistencyofnet-likecrackassociatedwithcristobalitetransformationduringcooling.

  • 简介:Theswunggelfiberswereheatedto400℃at0.5,1,1.5,2,2.5,3and4℃·min-1ofheatingrate,respectively,andsoakedfor1h;thenheatedto600℃at3℃·min-1ofheatingrateandsoakedfor1h;atlastcalcinedat1000,1100,1200,1300,and1400℃for1h,respectively.Theaveragesinglefibertensilestrengthsoffibersaftercalciningat600℃orhighertemperaturesweredeterminedandtheirsurfacemorphologywasobserved.Theresultsshowthat:(1)whentheheatingratebelow400℃is0.5-1℃·min-1,theaveragesinglefibertensilestrengthsof95polycrystallinealuminafibersaftercalciningat600℃and1000-1100℃exceed1000and800MPa,respectively,surfaceofthefibersaftercalciningat1000-1100℃issmooth,α-Al2O3appearsat1200℃,andalargeamountofα-Al2O3formsabove1300℃;(2)whentheheatingrateexceeds3℃·min-1,thefiberspulverizeobviously.

  • 简介:Thespecimenswerepreparedbymoldingthemixtureofsilicafume(w(SiO2)=94.5%;averageparticlesize:0.08μm)andsiliconnitride(≤0.074mm)withamassratioof11,carbonembeddedfiringat1300℃,1450℃,1500℃,1550℃and1600℃for3hinair,andthenwater-cooling,respectively.Themicrostructureandphasecompositionofthespecimenswereanalyzed.Theresultsshowthat:(1)silicafumereactsobviouslywithSi3N4formingSi2N2Oabove1550℃.TheedgesandcornersofSi3N4grainsbecomesmoothandtheSi3N4grainsdistributeinthecontinuouscementationphaseofSi2N2OformingthedensestructureofSi2N2OpackedSi3N4;(2)below1500℃,theedgesandcornersofSi3N4grainsareclear,Si2N2Odoesn'tform,andonlySiO2crystallizesfromsilicafumewhichhappensobviouslyat1300℃.

  • 简介:Simplethree-pointbendingtestatambienttemperaturecharacterizedthemechanicalbehaviorofburnedAl2O3-Crefractoriesbeforeandafterthermalshockinassociationwiththeprocessingparameters(graphitecontentandcokingtemperature,etc.).Theresultsshowedthatnon-linearplastic-elasticbehaviorunderloadlowerthancoldmodulusofrupture(CMOR)wasregisteredinallspecimensandreallinearelasticbehaviorcouldbeidentifiedafterthefirstload.Thetotaldeformationcouldbedividedintotwoparts,plasticandelasticareas.ThegraphitecontentandjointbondingsystemofcarbonandceramicphaseswereresponsibleformechanicalbehaviorofAl2O3-Crefractories.
