  • 简介:LocatedinXilinGolLeagueofInnerMongoliaAutonomousRegion,theXilinhot-AbagavolcanicclusterisinthecentreoftheDaxing’anling-Datongvolcaniceruptionbelt.Morethan300Quaternarybasalticvolcanoesofdifferenttypesaredevelopedinthevolcaniceruptionbelt.Maarsarefoundforthefirsttimeinthestudyarea,withthoseinHaotewulainthesoutheastofAbagaqi,andChelewulaandEsigewulainthenorthwestofAbagaqitobethemostrepresentative.Theyallarelargeinscale,withconediametersgenerally3~4km,withthelargestupto6.5km.Themaarsshowintactstructure,asimilartwo-ringedmountainlandscapeandobviouslyphasederuptionwhichcontainedavigorousphreatomagmaticexplosionattheearlierstage,andweakmagmaticexplosionatthelaterstage,andbasalticlavaeffusioninthelaststage.Theeruptionsequencereflectstheinteractionbetweenmagmaandwater,thechangeofintrusivespeedandoutflowrateofmagma.TheMiddlePleistocenedepositsofsandandgravelinthevalleyarecoveredbybasalsurgedeposits.TheTLageofsandstone-shale"xenolith"whichwasfoundinthespatterdepositsclosetothecrateris(0.112±0.0096)Ma,indicatingthattheeruptiontimeoftheMaarswastheearlyLatePleistocene.

  • 简介:TheCarboniferousandPre-CarboniferousformationsinLudong,Zhungarbasin,containfavorableoil/gasreservoirs.TheCarboniferousformations,however,arecomplexinstructureandexhibitlateralvariationsinlithology.SeismicreflectionsfromPre-Triassicformationsarepoorandthevolcanicreservoirsareverydifficulttoidentify.Theanalysisofphysicalpropertiesconcludedthatthemajortargetsinthisregion,i.e.,thetopoftheJurassicandCarboniferousformations,providedistinctdensityinterfaces.Thebasic,intermediateandacidvolcanicrockswerealsodifferentindensity,resultingindistinguishablegravityanomalies.Thedifferencesinmagnetisminthisregionexistednotonlybetweenthevolcanicrocksandclasticsedimentaryrocksbutalsoamongvolcanicrockswithdifferentcompositions.Allformationsandvolcanicrocksofdifferentlithologiespresentedhighandlowresistanceinterbeds,whicharecharacterizedbyregionaltrends.Themodelingstudydemonstratedthatnon-seismicintegratedgeophysicaltechniquesshouldbefeasibleinthisregion,especiaUythehigh-precisiongravity/magneticmethodscombinedwithlongoffsettransientelectromagneticsounding.

  • 简介:AnintegratedstudyofzirconU-Pbgeochronologyandpetrochemistry,togetherwithzirconLu-Hfisotopes,hasbeencarriedoutonthebasaltic-andesitictuffandvolcanicbrecciafromtheNamHangFormationandandesitictufffromtheMuang-NanFormationintheXaignabouliarea,whichhadbeenmappedasthePermian–EarlyTriassiconthe1:1000000geologicalmaporLateCarboniferousonthe1:200000geologicalmaps.ZirconU-Pbdatingofthreesamplesyieldedweightedmeanagesof235±2.6,232±1.4and278±2.8Ma,respectively,suggestingaLateTriassicoriginfortheNamHangFormationandanEarlyPermianoriginfortheMuang-NanFormation.Geochemically,theyarecharacterizedbydepletionsinHFSEs(e.g.,Nb,Ta,Ti)andhighLILE/HFSEratios,andtheyhavepositivezirconεHf(t)valuesof8.7–15.9,whichexhibitsthecontinentalarcvolcanicaffinityandpartialmeltingofsubductingoceanicslabinthemagmasource.Combinedwithspatialoccurrenceofthevolcanicrockandexistinggeochronologicalandgeochemicaldata,wesuggestthattheXaignabouli-LuangPrabangvolcanicbeltcanbelinkedtotheLoei-Phetchabunbelt.ThePermian–TriassicvolcanicrocksinthisbeltmightbeaproductoftheNanback-arcbasineastwardsubduction.

  • 简介:TakingmemberoneofYingchengFormationofCretaceousinXudongarea,XushenGasFieldofSongliaoBasinforanexampleandaimedatthediachronousproblemgenerallyexistedinvolcanicreservoirdivision,firstlyadvancedthemethodoftwostepsandtwounitesintheresearchesofvolcanicreservoirfinelydivisionthatguidedbythemethodthatsourcescontrolledandfoundedthestratigraphictrellis.Inthisprocess,volcanicedificesandbodieswereidentifiedandtraced.TheresultsindicatedthataimedstratainstudyareascouldbecarveduptosixlayersofYC1I1,YC1I2,YC1I-II,YC1II1,YC1II2andYC1IIIfromthetoptothebottom.Analyzingcausesandfirmlyunitedofwelldataandseismicdatacouldachievefinestratigraphicdivisionofvolcanicreservoir.Surfacesoflayersandvolcanicbodieswerebasicallyunanimousinsidedirection.Stratuminclinationgraduallyreducedwiththedistancesincreasedfromcraters.Theresultsofvolcanicreservoirdivisionhadpreferableconsistencywithlithologiesandvolcaniclithofaciesanddynamicdevelopmentdata.Theresearchesofferedausefulmethodtostratigraphicdivisionofvolcanicreservoirandithadveryimportantsignificancetoeffectivedevelopmentofvolcanicreservoirinpractice.

  • 简介:Basedonthermalsimulationexperiment,interactionsbetweenvolcanicfluidsandsourcerockswerestudied.Gasgenerationsinthedrysystemandfluidsystemunderdifferenttemperatureswereanalyzed.Theresultsshowedthatthevarioustypesofsourcerocksaresimilarincomposition,containinggaseousC1-C5hydrocarbons,H2andCO2whosegasyieldsincreasewithincreasingtemperature.ThegasyieldofsourcerocksoftypeisⅠthehighest,followedbytypeⅡ,andthatofsourcerocksoftypeisⅢthelowest,indicatingthattheyieldofhydrocarbongasesisrelatedtotheirhydrocarbongeneratingpotential.AlthoughthegeneratingpotentialoftypeisⅢthelowest,itcanstillberegardedasausefulgassourcewhenitisburieddeeplyenough.Thebasicvolcanicfluidrestrainsthegenerationofgaseoushydrocarbonsindifferenttypesofsourcerocks,butpromotesthegenerationofinorganicgases.

  • 简介:Quaternaryvolcanicrocksoftencoexistwithloess,asobservedinthesamegeologicsectionsintheShandongPeninsulaandnorthernpartsofJiangsuandAnhuiprovinces.ThedevelopmentageofShandongloessinclosetothatinthemiddlereachesoftheYellowRiver.LoessstrataareofsynchronousimplicationintheloessbeltofNorthChina.Sotheagesofvolcanicactivitiescanbees-timatedapproximatelyfromthestratigraphicrelationsbetweenloesslayersandvolcanicrocks.There-sultsofdatingoftheQuaternaryvolcanicrocks,bakedlayersandtheTLdatesofloesssamplessug-gestthattheQuaternaryvolcanicactivitycanbedividedinto4stagesintheregionstudied,withtheagesbeing1.15-1.03,0.86-0.72,0.55-0.33and0.02MaB.P.respectively.TheoccurrenceoftephraintheShandongloesssectionsispossibleduetomultipleepisodesofvolcanismduringtheQuaternarytime.

  • 简介:ExtensivevolcanismisoneoftheimportantfeaturesofCenozoicgeologyinChina.Basedontemporal-spatialdistribution,thevolcanismwasassociatedwiththreemajordifferentgeologicalsettings:1)thecontinentalriftbasaltsinNortheastandNorthChina;2)thetension-faultbasaltsonthecontinentalmarginsofSoutheastChina;and3)thecollision-zonehigh-KvolcanicsintheQinghai-XizangPlateauanditsvicinities.Thecharacteristicsof'depletioninthesouthandenrichmentinthenorth'oftheChinacontinentalmantlearestronglysupportedbyisotopicevidence.TheCenozoiccontinentalcalcharacters,intothefollowinggeochemicalprovinces:1)thedepletedmantleinSouthChina;2)theprimarymantleinNortheastandNorthChina;3)thehybridandtransi-tionalmantleintheregionofShandong,Anhui,JiangsuandnorthernZhejiang;4)thedepletedmantlearoundtheBohaiBayandtheLowerLiaoheRiver;5)theK-metasomaticenrichedmantleinthenorthernpartofNortheastChina;and6)there-cycledenrichedmantleintheancientsubductionzoneintheQinghai-XizangPlateauanditssurround-ings.Thesegeochemicalcharacteristicsonaregionalscalemustbeareflectionofthenatureoflithosphereevolution.

  • 简介:BasedonelectronprobeanalysesofthemineralsandbulkcompositionoftheCenozoicvolcanicrocksfromYumenandHohXillithodistricts,Qinghai-Xizangplateau,theformingconditionsincludingthetemperatureandpressureofthoserocksarestudiedinthispaperAccordingtothethermodynamiccalculationresultsofmineral-meltequilibrium,thedepthoftheasthenospheresuperface(about75-130km)forthenorthernpartoftheQinghai-XizangplateauduringtheCenozoicissuggested.Finally,thispaperindicatesthattheCenozoicvolcanicrocksinthenorthernpartoftheQinghai-Xizangplateaumainlyconsistofshoshoniteseries.Theirformingtemperatureis630-1039℃andformingpressureisbetween2.3-4.0GPa.Therockswereformedintheintracontinentalorogenicbelt,ofwhichtheprimarymagmawasoriginatedfromaparticularenrichmentuppermantleandaccretedcrust-mantlebeltofdirectlyfromasthenosphericsuperfaceasaresultofpartialofpyrolite.
