简介:Duetotheirparticularopticalcharacteristics,metallicislandfilmshavethepotentialtosignificantlyincreasetheenergyconversionefficiencyofsolarcell.Weexperimentallyandtheoreticallyinvestigatedtheeffectofsubstratetemperatureonthemorphologiesandopticalpropertiesofthesilverislandfilms.Atlowtemperature,below300℃,asthesubstratetemperatureincreases.Comparedtothefilmspreparedatroomtemperature,thesizesofnanoparticlesdecreaseandtheAbsorptionpeaksshifttoshorterwavelengthaccompaniedbyanincreasedensityresultingina150%Absorptionefficiency.Asthesubstratetemperaturegoesupto300℃,nanoparticleswithlargerin-plan(X-Y)dimensionsareformed,thenumberdensitydecreasesandtheAbsorptionpeaksredshiftbuttheAbsorptionefficiencyisstill10%higher.Numericalsimulationrevealsthatthesebehaviorsareaconsequenceofmorphologiestransformation.
