简介:ThedesignofanOLAPsystemforsupportingreal-timequeriesisoneofthemajorresearchissues.Oneapproachistousedatacubes,whicharepre-computedmultidimensionalviewsofdatainthedatawarehouse.Aninitialsetofdatacubescanbederived.fromwhichtheanswertoeachfrequentlyaskedquerycanberetrieveddirectly.However,therearetwopracticalproblemsconcerningthedesignofacubebasedsystem:1)themaintenancecostofthedatacubes,and2)thequerycosttoansweraselectedsetoffrequentlyaskedqueries.MaintainingadatacuberequiresdiskstorageandCPUcomputation,Sothemaintenancecostisrelatedtothetotalsizeofthedatacubesmaterialized,andthuskeepingalldatacubesisimpractical.Thetotalsizeofcubesmaybereducedbymergingsomecubes.However,theresultinglargercubeswillincreasethequerycostofansweringsomequeries.Iftheboundsonmaintenancecostandquerycostarestrict.someofthequeriesneedtobesacrificed.Anoptimizationproblemindatacubesystemdesignhasbeendefined.Withamaintenance-costboundandaquery-costboundgivenbytheuser,itisnecessarytoopti-mizetheinitialsetofdatacubessuchthatthesystemcanansweramaximumnumberofqueriesandsatisfythebounds.ThisisanNP-completeproblem.ApproximatealgorithmsGreedyRemoving(GR)and2-GreedyMergingwithMultiplepaths(2GGM)areproposed.Experimentshavebeendoneonacensusdatabaseandtheresultsshowthatourapproachinbotheffbctiveandefficient.

简介:Thecoherencecubetechnologyhasbecomeanimportanttechnologyfortheseismicattributeinterpretation,whichextractsthediscontinuitiesoftheeventsthroughanalyzingthesimilaritiesofadjacentseismicchannelstoidentifythefaultform.Thecoherencecubetechnologywhichusesconstanttimewindowlengthscannotbalancetheshallowlayersandthedeeplayers,becausethefrequencybandofseismicdatavarieswithtime.Whenanalyzingtheshallowlayers,thetimewindowwillcrossoveralotofevents,whichwillleadtoweakfocusingabilityandfailuretodelineatethedetails.Whilethetimewindowwillnotbelongenoughforanalyzingdeeplayers,whichwillleadtolowaccuracybecausethecoherencesnearthezeropointsoftheeventsareheavilyinfluencedbynoise.Forsolvingtheproblem,weshouldmakearesearchonthecoherencecubetechnologywithself-adaptivetimewindow.Thispaperdeterminesthesamplepoints’timewindowlengthsinrealtimebycomputingtheinstantaneousfrequencybandswithWaveletTransformation,whichgivesacoherencecomputingmethodwiththeself-adaptivetimewindowlengths.Theresultshowsthatthecoherencecubetechnologywithself-adaptivetimewindowbasedonWaveletTransformationimprovestheaccuracyoffaultidentification,andsupressesthenoiseeffectively.Themethodcombinestheadvantagesoflongtimewindowmethodandshorttimewindowmethod.
简介:Thelowfrequencycyclicaltransientnaturalconvectioninacubeenclosurewithaninternalisolatedverticalheatedplatewasinvestigatedexperimentally.Acomputer-aidedexperimentalsystemwasdesignedtogeneratethecyclicalheatingpowerinputandalsousedfordatareduction.Theeffectsofthecyclicheatingpowerinputamplitude(from0to8W)andfrequency(form1/5400s^-1to1/600s^-1)aswellastheper-cycletime-averagepowerinput(from8to24W)onthetransientandtime-averageNusseltnumberwereparametricallystudied.Itwasfoundthatforsuchcyclicaltransientnaturalconvectionwithlowfrequency,theplateheatingpowerinputamplitudeandfrequencyhavelittleeffectsonthetime-averageNusseltnumberaslongasthecyclicaltime-averageheatingpowerinputremainsthesame,althoughthetransientNusseltnumbermaybesignificantlyaffected.Therefore,themodifiedGrashofnumberbasedontheplateaverageheatfluxcanbeusedtocharacterizethetime-averageheattransferprocess.Theplatetime-averageNusseltnumberisabout15%lessthantheinfinite-spaceNusseltnumber,Thelocationoftheisolatedplateinenclosuredoesnotappreciablyinfluencethetime-averageheattransfercharacteristicsoftheplate.
