Resonanceflexuralvibration(FastFourierTransform,FFT),ultrasonicwave(Pundit)andstresswave(Metriguard)techniqueswereexaminedasmeansofevaluatingthestaticmodulusofelasticity(MOE)andpredictingthemodulusofrupture(MOR)offinger-jointedlumberspecimensmadewithfourkindsofEucalyptus(Eucalyptus.citriodora,E.exserta,E.grandisxE.urophyllaandE.grandis).DynamicMOEwascalculatedfromfrequencyandtimeobtainedfromforcedvibrationsandsoundsinducedinthefourspeciesoffinger-jointedspecimens.ItwasfoundthatcorrelationcoefficientsbetweendensityandstaticMOEanddynamicMOEwerestatisticallysignificantatthe0.01level.AnditwasalsofoundthatthethreenondestructivetechniquescanproviderapidandaccuratemeanstodeterminetheMOE,andthedynamicMOEwasmoreaccuratetopredictstaticMOEthandensity.ButthecorrelationcoefficientbetweendynamicMOE,staticMOEandMORwerelowerthanresultsreportedbyotherresearchersforsolidwood,andwerenotstatisticallysignificant.ItcanbeconcludedthatthethreenondestructivetechniquesareusefulforevaluatingtheMOE,butnotsuitableforpredictingtheMORoffinger-jointed.
