AnalgorithmforcomputationofcloudmotionwindshasbeendevelopedattheNationalSatelliteMeteorologicalCenterinChina.Since1997,ithasbeenappliedtocalculatethecloudmotionwindsfora1.25lat.×1.25long.meshoverthenorthwestPacificregionwiththesatellitedatafromGMS-5.Thedevelopmentofthetropicalcyclonesisstudied.Itshowsthatthetropicalcycloneisusuallyintriguedbythewesterlyjetstreamsattheupperlevelsofthetroposphere,whichmaybecausedbymid-latitudetroughswellextendingintothetropics.Duringtheprimeseasonofsummer,thewesterlyflowingequatorwardoftheTUTTmayalsobeacauseforthegenerationoftyphoons.
