Abstract：It is a public-acknowledged fact that most of students are bad at expressing themselves in English orally.We should be clear about what causes this phenomenon happen.Trying to explore the ways to strenghen students' oral English practice should be the main task of our English teaching.

As we know，there are four basic skills we should master in English learning.Namely，Listening， speaking ，reading and writing.Each of them is very important for us if we want to learn English well.However, to my point of view，I think oral English practice is the most important part among them.Why do I say so?The following reasons may contribute to it.

Firstly.It is a common phenomenon that the majority of students are bad or not good at expressing themselves in English orally,even it is the same for those who get very good grade in every exam.They can read and understand English articles at their level and deal with the questions after them easily.They can also finish the exercises with high correct rate after listening to each listening material.Why?It may be because they haven't been given a lot of practice.

Secondly.It may be because the students flout it.They feel it is not so important.Because they don't need to take any oral English exam.Whether they are good or not at English doesn't depend on their oral English.It is said that a reform on high school entrance exam will be carried out in one or two years.Oral English tests will be included in it.I think the time should be earlier.Oral English test will urge them to pay more attention to oral English practice.

Thirdly.students have little chance to contact the persons with English as their native language or those with good oral English and are willing to offer to practise oral English with you.

In view of the above reasons，It is urgent for us to strengthen students' oral English practice.As we all know

，It is very difficult to improve students' oral English.Good oral English doesn't happen to us overnight.As the saying goes:Roman wasn't built in one day.Then what can we do to strengthen students ' oral English practice?How can we improve students' oral English effectively.According to my many years of practical teaching experience,and also some references to related research papers,I come to these following conclusions.Now I will share with you .

To strengthen students' oral English practice,the teacher should try to conduct or organize his or her teaching activities in English.You don't need to require students to answer all your questions in English.You should teach them some simple English expressions or daily conversations before hand.Teach them some daily English every day.and require them collect such useful expressions online.In this way,they will know more and more English expressions.Here are some commonly-used daily class oral English I have collected through my years of practical teaching. May I ask you a question？，Of course，You're welcome，May I come in？I'd like to have a try. so on and so forth.Too many to list them all out.A person's self confidence will be built up naturally，once she or he has mastered enough knowledge or skills。A good English teacher,generally speaking,will create some chances for the students to express themselves in English.He or she should induce his or her students to speak English instead of forcing them to do so.Otherwise the effection will be on the contrary.Designing some interesting English activities such as English games，English speaking contest and letting them join in is another good way to strengthen the oral English practice.

To strengthen the students' oral English practice，as a teacher, she or he should pay attention to role -playing conversation.Because each role playing conversation is designed by experts.It's undoubtedly that they will play an important role in helping improve students' oral English.Therefore we should let students practice such role playing conversations repeatedly until they can act as the roles naturally and smoothly.

To strengthen students' oral English practice,It is also necessary for the teacher to set a time for students who are interested in English to take part in some after-school English activities.Psychological research shows students' participation in activities can Activate students' language expression ability .For example，we can have an English corner at noon or after school.At the first time，the English teacher can give them some guidance.Later on，a student who is good at English can be assigned to organize such activities.The English teacher is not necessary to be present or be with them.Students needs space and freedom.They will perform better without English teacher present.

Online media tools such as all-in-one machine ,smart phone ,Ipad and something else like these can also be used to strengthen students' oral English practice.Some media tools can provide some useful oral English practice at any time for netizens to imitate and give some proper evaluation to each of your recordings in time.Smart phones tend to have a lot of APPs that we can adopt to strengthen our oral English practice.There are a lot of micro videos good enough for us to strengthen our oral English practice online，too.Tencent Mr. Translator is one of such APPs.Not a lot of people know that wechat can also be used to strenghen our oral English practice because of it's timely translation function .

There must be a lot of other good ways we can use to achieve this goal.I'm expecting that you can share with us.I will also try to explore some more better methods in the course of my future English teaching .But how do we decide if a method is effective or useless?

In my opinion，at any rate，students must be the main body or focus of any activities.The teacher had better act as only an audience or organizer that keep the activity go smoothly.The active participation of students is very important.As long as we can pay attention to the students' active participation，Students' oral English practice will be strengthen without doubt.
