Three-componentOceanBottomSeismometers,portablelandstationsandmarineairgunseismicsourceswereusedtocarryoutanonshore-offshoredeepseismicprofileinnortheasternSouthChinaSea.Thisprofile,orientatedinNNW-SSE,wasaslongas500kmandperpendiculartothestrikeofregionaltectonics.TheoffshoredatawereprocessedinTaiwanOceanUniversityusinganumberofavailablesoftwareandtheonshoredatawereanalyzedinSouthChinaSeaInstituteofOceanologybynew-writtenprogramsandpublicsoftware.Preliminaryresultsshowthattheseismicdataareingoodqualityandcontainrichinformationofdeepstructure.Seismicphases,e.g.Pg,PmPandPn,areidentifiedintheoffsetrange5～220kin,whichwillprovideanimportantdatasetforthedeepcrustalstructureandoil-gasbasinevolutionstudiesofthisregion.
