【摘要】围绕“给母亲送什么礼物”这一话题展开教学，引导学生通过讨论、交流和评价从而熟悉句型“Whydon’tyoudosomething?”以及应答方法。让学生在交际活动中学会用英语表达自己的意见和看法。重在培养学生的语言习得能力、实践能力、合作能力及创新意识。

一、教材分析

本课选自人教版新目标英语八年级下册第八单元的第一课时。本单元的中心话题是“Giftgiving”（送礼）。通过送礼谈论如何对事物进行比较，并给出合理性建议。本节课围绕“给母亲送什么礼物”这一话题展开教学，引导学生通过讨论、交流和评价从而熟悉句型“Whydon’tyoudosomething?”以及应答方法。让学生在交际活动中学会用英语表达自己的意见和看法。重在培养学生的语言习得能力、实践能力、合作能力及创新意识。

二、教学目标

1、知识与能力目标：a.掌握本课的单词与词组，如：scarf,tennisball,camera,photoalbum,creative,special,personal等。b.掌握本课句型：whatshouldIgetmymother?Whydon’tyou…?/Whynotdo…?/Howaboutacamera?That’stooboring/notspecialenough.c.学会谈论和比较不同的东西，并学会征询建议并提合理性的建议和意见。

2、过程与方法目标：采用教学图片,通过Discussion,pairwork,groupwork等活动，引导学生进行听力与口语交际训练。

3、情感目标：学会了解他人，关爱他人。关爱父母,走进父母。

三、教学重点与难点

1、重点：学习运用重点句型WhatshouldIgetherforherbirthday?Whydon’tyougetherascarf?及学习使用描述性形容词。2、难点：Whydon’t的正确使用。

四、教法分析

结合教材及学情、遵循教学原则和认知规律，我采用了情景教学法、听说法，结合即将来临的母亲节，采用任务型教学法，在活动中导入目标语言，通过交流及操练，让学生在用中学、在学中用。

五、教学步骤

Step1:Leading-in.

Letstudentsenjoyaninterestingsong“PartyTime”.(设计说明:用学生感兴趣的flash歌曲导入新课，将学生带入到生日场景中，充分地调动了学生的学习兴趣。)

Step2:Presentthenewwords.

Situation:Yesterdaywasmydaughter’sbirthdayandshehadabirthdaypartyyesterdayevening.Shereceivedmanygifts.Doyouwanttoseehergifts?Ok，I’llshowyousomeofhergifts.

Showstudentssomepicturesofmydaughter’sbirthdaygiftsandletthemgivetheircommentstoeachgift.(设计说明:用ppt给学生展示女儿的生日礼物，激发了学生的好奇心，促使学生积极学习一些礼物名词及描述性形容词。)

Step3:Guessinggame.

(设计说明:通过听力练习学生已经了解了如何提出建议以及如何给出评论，让学生一起来总结一下，既加深了学生的印象，又进一步明确了本节课的目标语言。)
