NanosizedBaCeo.95Yo.o5O3-δpowderswiththehomogeneouscompositionweresynthesizedbyanewcombustionprocessbasedonthePechinimethod.Apolymericprecursorsolwasformedbyuseofcitricacidandethyleneglycolasthechelatingagentsofmetalions.Theperovskite-typeBaCeo.95Yo.o5O3-δpowderswithuniformshapeandsmallerthan40nminsizedwereobtainedthroughthecombustionofthepolymericprecursorsolattheexistenceofnitricacidandammoniumhydroxide.Itwasfoundtheparticlesizecouldbecontrolledbymodulatingthequantitiesofnitricacidandammoniumhydroxide,thequantitiesoftheresidue,carbonateionswerealsoaffectedbythequantitiesofthecitricacidandethyleneglycol.
