Thisarticlereferstotheresultsofsmall-scaleandcommercialtestsonhigh-temperaturecrackingofC4fractioninFCCunittoincreasethepropyleneyield.ThebenchtestsrevealedthattheconversionrateofC4fractionduringhigh-temperaturecrackingreached37.38%andpropyleneyieldwasequalto15.60%withtheconversionrateofC4olefinsequatingaround50%.Theresultsofcommercialapplicationshowedthatadoptionofthetechnologyforhigh-temperaturecrackingofC4fractioninFCCunithadledtoanincreaseofpropyleneyieldby2.16%withnoremarkablechangesintheyieldsandpropertiesofotherproducts.
