Theexploitationofdifferentnon-rigorousmathematicalmodelsasopposedtothesatelliterigorousmodelsisdiscussedforgeometriccorrectionsandtopographic/thematicmapsproductionofhigh-resolutionsatelliteimagery(HRSI).Furthermore,thispaperfocusesontheeffectsofthenumberofGCPsandtheterrainelevationdifferencewithintheareacoveredbytheimagesontheobtainedgroundpointsaccuracy.Fromtheresearch,itisobviouslyfoundthatnon-rigorousorientationandtriangulationmodelscanbeusedsuccessfullyinmostcasesfor2Drectificationand3Dgroundpointsdeterminationwithoutacameramodelorthesatelliteephemerisdata.Inaddition,theaccuracyuptothesub-pixellevelinplaneandaboutonepixelinelevationcanbeachievedwithamodestnumberofGCPs.
