Effectsofnon-ionicpolyacrylamide(PAM),anionicpolyacrylamide(PHP),cationicpolyacrylamide(PCAM),non-ionicpolyvinylalcohol(PVA),anionichydrolyzedpolyacrylonitrile(HPAN)andpolyethleneoxide(PEO)onthephysicalpropertiesofthreedifferentsoilstpeswerestudied.contentofwater-stableaggregateslargerthan0.25mmincreasedtovaryingextentsfordifferentsoilsandsoilconditioners,Amongthesixkindsofcondiftioners,non-ionicpolyacrylamide(PAM)wasthemosteffectiveforredsoilwhilepolyethyleneoxide(PEO)theleasteffectiveforChaosoil,redsoilandyellow-brownsoil.Water-stableaggregateswiththemolecularweightofPEOwithinacertainrange.OnlyevaporationrateofChaosoildecreasedafteraplicationofPAMandHPANtoChaosoilandredsoil.
