Theelectric-staticbodyforcemodelisobtainedbysolvingMaxwell’selectromagneticequations.Basedontheelectro-staticmodel,numericalmodelingofflowaroundacylinderwithadielectricbarrierdischarge(DBD)plasmaeffectisalsopresented.Theflowstreamlinesbetweenthenumericalsimulationandtheparticleimagevelocimetry(PIV)experimentareconsistent.Accordingtothenumericalsimulation,DBDplasmacanreducethedragcoefficientandchangethevortexsheddingfrequenciesofflowaroundthecylinder.
