Environmentalriskspertainingtocontaminatedsoilshavebeenwellstudied,whilelittleattentionhasbeenpaidtotherisksofthesoilsafterremediation.Inthisstudy,aconceptmodeldevelopedbasedonfuzzysettheorywasappliedtoevaluatetheuncertaintiesofthreeriskindicators,namely,plantgrowth,groundwatersafetyandhumanhealth,ofarestoredsitethathadbeenpreviouslypollutedbyheavymetals.Theconceptmodelclassifiedthegradeandimportanceofriskfactorsbyan11-levelrankingsystemandwasabletoyieldacomprehensiveriskresultratherthanmulti-riskresultsforcomplexriskindicators.Modelingresultsshowedthattheriskstothethreeindicatorswereeffectivelyreducedaftertheremediation.Moreover,greatsensitivityoftheriskswasfoundrelatedtotheweightdistributionamongthethreeriskindicators.Ingeneral,therisksofbothpollutedandrestoredsoilstotheenvironmentwereintheorderofgroundwatersafety>plantgrowth>humanhealth.Themodelwasprovedtosolvetheproblemsofmulti-riskresultsduetocomplexriskindicatorsthatpreviouslyencounteredbyotherresearchers,whichmadeithelpfulindecision-makingandmanagementofrestoredsoils.
