Sandjetinnon-Newtonianviscoplasticfluidisassociatedwithanumberofindustrialandengineeringapplications,includingsandcappingforthereclamationofoilsandstailingspondsandsedimentdepositionintosoftmud.Inthisstudy,severalexperimentswerecarriedoutbydepositingcircularsandjetsverticallyintoviscoplasticfluids,knownasLaponitegel.Thedeformationregimesofsandjetsinthegelwereinvestigated.Theyield-gravityparameterofthedeformedsanddropinthegelwascomputed.
