Dielectric-barrierdischarges(DBDs)inatmosphericpressureairhavebeenstudiedbyusingapower-frequencyvoltagesource.InthispapertheelectricalcharacteristicsofDBDsus-ingglassandaluminadielectricshavebeeninvestigatedexperimentally.AccordingtotheLissajousfiguresofvoltage-charges,itisdiscoveredthatthedischargepowerforanaluminadielectricismuchhigherthanthatforaglassdielectricatthesameappliedvoltage.Also,thevoltage-currentcurvesoftheglassandaluminadielectricsconfirmthefactthatthedielectricbarriersbehavelikesemiconductingmaterialsatcertainappliedvoltages.
