Transmissionofelasticwavesthroughamicrogapbetweentwosolidswithconsiderationoffrictionalcontactisinvestigated.ByusingtheFourieranalysistechniqueandthecorrectivesolutionmethod,thenonlinearboundaryproblemisreducedtoasetofalgebraicequations.Numericalresultsexhibitthelocationsandextentsofseparation,slip,andstickzones,theinterfacetractions,andtheenergypartition.Theeffectsofgapwidth,frictionalcoefficients,andtheincidentangleonthewavetransmissionarediscussedindetail.Theresultsshowthathigherharmonicsaregeneratedduetothelocalcontact/slipattheinterface.
