AN EFFICIENT MOVING MESH METHOD FOR A MODEL OF TURBULENT FLOW IN CIRCULAR TUBES

摘要 Thispaperpresentsanefficientmovingmeshmethodtosolveanonlinearsingularproblemwithanoptimalcontrolconstrainedcondition.ThephysicalproblemisgovernedbyanewmodelofturbulentflowincirculartubesproposedbyLuoetal.usingPrandtl'smixing-lengththeory.Ouralgorithmisformedbyanouteriterativealgorithmforhandlingtheoptimalcontrolconditionandaninneradaptivemeshredistributionalgorithmforsolvingthesingulargoverningequations.Wediscretizethenonlinearproblembyusingaupwindingapproach,andtheresultingnonlinearequationsaresolvedbyusingtheNewton-Raphsonmethod.Themeshisgeneratedandthegridpointsaremovedbyusingthearc-lengthequidistributionprinciple.Thenumericalresultsdemonstratethatproposedalgorithmiseffectiveincapturingtheboundarylayersassociatedwiththeturbulentmodel.
