摘要
Transversemixingcharacteristicsofsoluteintheopenchannelflowcanprovideusefulinformationforriverenvironmentalmanagement.Thelateralmixingcoefficientisacrucialparameterforreproducingthetransversemixingeitherbynumericalsimulationorbyanalyticalprediction.Sincethesolutemixingcanbegreatlyaffectedbythelateralvariationsinwaterdepth,mixingcoefficientshouldbedeterminedineachsub-section(i.e.,themainchannel,sideslopeandfloodplain)separately.Inthisarticle,thetransversemixinginasymmetrictrapezoidalcompoundchannelwasstudiedbasedonlaboratorymeasurementoflongitudinalandtransversevelocitycomponentsandlateraldistributionofsoluteconcentration.ThelateralmixingcoefficientwasestimatedbyadoptingdifferentSchmidtnumbersindifferentsub-sectionsdividedaccordingtothedevelopingtrendoftheeddyviscosity,andfinallyapiecewiselinearprofileofmixingcoefficientwasadoptedtoanalyticallypredictthetransversesoluteconcentration.Thecomparisonbetweentheanalyticallypredicteddataandthemeasuringsoluteconcentrationprovedthatthisisaneffectivewaytoestimatethelateralmixingintheopenchannelflowwithlateralvariationsinwaterdepth.
