Advances in isolation and detection of circulating tumor cells based on microfluidics

摘要 Circulatingtumorcells(CTCs)arethecancercellsthatcirculateintheperipheralbloodafterescapingfromtheoriginalormetastatictumors.CTCscouldbeusedasnon-invasivesourceofclinicalinformationinearlydiagnosisofcancerandevaluationofcancerdevelopment.Inrecentyears,CTCresearchhasbecomeahotspotfieldwhereinmanynovelCTCdetectiontechnologiesbasedonmicrofluidicshavebeendeveloped.Greatadvanceshavebeenmadethatexhibitobvioustechnicaladvantages,butcannotyetsatisfythecurrentclinicalrequirements.Inthisstudy,wereviewthemainadvancesinisolationanddetectionmethodsofCTCbasedonmicrofluidicsresearchoverseveralyears,proposefivetechnicalindicatorsforevaluatingthesemethods,andexploretheapplicationprospects.Wealsodiscusstheconcepts,issues,approaches,advantages,limitations,andchallengeswithanaimofstimulatingabroaderinterestindevelopingmicrofluidics-basedCTCdetectiontechnology.
