摘要
TheEastAsianmonsoonsysteminfluencesthesedimentationandtransportoforganicmatterinEastAsianmarginalseasthatisderivedfrombothterrestrialandmarinesources.Inthisstudy,wedeterminedorganiccarbon(OC)isotopevalues,concentrationsofmarinebiomarkers,andlevelsofOCandtotalnitrogen(TN)incoreYSC-1fromthecentralSouthYellowSea(SYS).OurobjectivesweretotracethesourcesofOCandvariationsinpalaeoproductivitysincethemiddleHolocene,andtheirrelationshipswiththeEastAsianmonsoonsystem.Therelativecontributionsofterrestrialversusmarineorganicmatterincoresedimentswereestimatedusingatwo-end-membermixingmodelofOCisotopes.ResultsshowthatmarineorganicmatterhasbeenthemainsedimentconstituentsincethemiddleHolocene.Thevariationofterrestrialorganiccarbonconcentration(OCter)issimilartotheEASMhistory.However,thevariationofmarineorganiccarbonconcentration(OCmar)isoppositetothatoftheEASMcurve,suggestingOCmarisdistinctlyinfluencedbyterrestrialmaterialinput.InputsofterrestrialnutrientsintotheSYSoccurintheformoffluvialandaeoliandust,whileconcentrationsofnutrientsinsurfacewaterarederivedmainlyfrombottomwaterviatheYellowSeacirculationsystem,whichiscontrolledbytheEastAsianwintermonsoon(EAWM).Variationsinpalaeoproductivityrepresentedbymarineorganicmatterandbiomarkerrecordsare,ingeneral,consistentwiththerecentEAWMintensitystudies,thus,comparedwithEASM,EAWMmayplaythemainroletocontrolthemarineproductivityvariationsintheSYS.
