摘要
SpatialobjectandspatialrelationshiparetwobasicconceptsofGIS.Spatialobjectisthedigitalrepresentationofgeographicalentityorphenomenon,whichformsthebasisfordatamanagementandanalysis;spatialrelationshipistheconnexionbetweenspatialobjectswhengeometricpropertiesareconsidered.Thecommonlyusedclassificationofspatialobjectsaspoints,linesandareasismathe-maticallystrict,andsuitablefordatamanagement,butabittoogeneralizedforrepresentingrealentitiesandextractingspatialrelationships.Agoodclassificationmodelshouldnotonlybegoodforrepresentingrealentities,butalsogoodforre-vealingspatialrelationships,thereforegoodforformalizingspatialanalyses.
