  • 简介:Toinvestigatetheinhibitingeffectsoftheanti-angiogenicfactorandostatinandtheanti-angiogenicdrugendostatinontumourangiogenesisandtumourcells,acoupledmathematicalmodeloftumorangiogenesiswithtumourgrowthandbloodperfusionisdeveloped.Simulationresultsshowthatangiostatinandendostatincanimprovetheabnormalmicroenvironmentinsidethetumourtissuebyeffectivelyinhibitingtheprocessoftumorangiogenesisanddecreasingtumourcells.Thepresentmodelcanbeusedasavalidtheoreticalmethodintheinvestigationofthetumouranti-angiogenictherapy.

  • 简介:Forthefirsttime,WO2.72nanowireswerein-situgrownoncarbonclothbyasimplesolvothermalreaction.ThenanowireWO2.72/carboncloth(NWWO2.72/CC)electrodeshowedgoodelectrochemicalperformancewithspecificcapacitance(Cs)reachingupto398Fg-1atacurrentdensityof2Ag-1.Thecapacitanceof240Fg-1wasretainedatahighcurrentdensityof16Ag-1.Tofurtherevaluatetheenergystorageperformance,flexibleasymmetricsupercapacitors(FASCs)werefabricatedusingtheactivatedcarbon/carboncloth(AC/CC)asnegativeelectrodeandNWWO2.72/CCaspositiveelectrode,respectively.TheFASCsdeliveredahighenergydensityof28Whkg-1atapowerdensityof745Wkg-1and13Whkg-1evenatahighpowerdensityof22.5kWkg-1.Moreimpressively,81%ofthespecificcapacitanceoftheFASCswasretainedafter10,000cycles,indicatingexcellentcyclestability.ThisworkindicatestheNWWO2.72/CCholdsagreatpotentialforapplicationinenergystoragedevices.

  • 简介:Wereportthatβ’-Gd2(MoO4)3crystalshavebeengrownbytheCzochralski(CZ)method.Westudiedthegrowthconditionsfoβ’-Gd2(MoO4)3crystal.Acompatisonbetweentheresistance-heatedmethodandradiofrequencyinduction-heatedmethodisdescribed.Also,theinsituobservationofthedomainstructurebythemicroscopeandbysynchrotronradiationX-raytopographyundertheconditionsofDCpolarizationvoltageandtempertaturechangewerecarriedout.Experimentsshowedthatmultidomainstructureincludingferroelectricandferroelasticdomainsoccurredinβ’-Gd2(MoO4)3cystal.Usuallyferroeletiricdomainsappearedintheas-growncrystalandferroelasticdomainsappearedinthepolishedthinnerpiece.BothferroelectricandferroelasticdomainsdisappearedwhenthetemperatureofthecrystalpiecewashigherthantheCurietempperatureTcandtheycouldbereproducedwhenthetemperatureofthecrystalpiecewasloweredbelowTC.WhenaDCpolarizationvoltagerangingfrom150to500Vwasappliedonac-axisβ’-Gd2(MoO4)3piecehavingathicknessof0.5mm,themultidomainwouldgraduallytransformtoasingledomain.Thisresualmeansthatitispossibletomakeaperiodicallypoledβ’-Gd2(MoO4)3crystal.2001ElsevierScienceB.V.Allrightsreserved.

  • 简介:Ironcatalystnanoparticleswerepreparedonsiliconwafersbyspin-coatingcolloidalsolutionscontainingironnitrate,polyethyleneglycol(PEG)andabsoluteethanol.Theeffectsofvariousspin-coatingconditionswereinvestigated.Thefindingsshowedthatthesizeoftheironparticleswasgovernedbythecompositionofthecolloidalsolutionusedandthatahighangularspeedwasresponsiblefortheformationofathincolloidalfilm.Theeffectofangularaccelerationonthesizeanddistributionoftheironparticleswerefoundtobeinsignificant.Itwasobservedthatalongerspin-coatingdurationprovokedtheagglomerationofironparticles,leadingtotheformationoflargeparticles.Wealsoshowedthatsingle-walledcarbonnanotubescouldbegrownfromthesmallestironcatalystnanoparticlesafterthechemicalvapordepositionofmethane.
