简介：Forthedevelopmentoffiberopticsfortherangefrom0.2to50.0μm,oneneedslight-stable,nonhygroscopic,ductilecrystalsthatwouldbetransparentwithinthisspectralrangeandhavealackofcleavage,andfromwhichtheflexibleinfrared(IR)fibersareextruded.Thecrystalsbasedonsolidsolutionsofsilverandmonadicthalliumhalidesmeettheconditionslistedabove.Consequently,bydifferentialthermalandxrayanalyses,westudytheTlBr–TlIphasediagramusingthecrystalswithoptimalcompositions,whichwegrowourselves.Wealsomanufacturelight-stablenanocrystallineIRfibersthataretransparentatlongerwavelengthscomparedwithAgCl–AgBrfibers.
