简介：Ahigh-performancemeasurementmethodforthearteryintima-mediathickness(IMT)inmedicalultrasoundimagesisproposed.Theschememainlyconsistsoftwoparts.Thefirstpartisthedetectionprocess,includingadaptivegraystretchingforimageenhancing,gradienttransformingtorestraintheover-segmentation,andthewatershedalgorithmforedgeextraction.Theintimacanbedetectedautomaticallyandexactly.Thesecondpart,combinedwithregionalpositioningandboundaryfittingstages,isusedtomeasuretheIMT.Experimentalresultsshowthattheproposedschemecanyieldagoodmeasurementresult,andthecalculationtimecansatisfythepracticalrequirement.
