简介：Atwo-dimensional(2D)opticaltrue-timedelay(TTD)beam-formingsystemusingacompactfibergratingprism(FGP)foraplanarphasedarrayantenna(PAA)isproposed.Theopticalbeam-formingsystemmainlyconsistsofaTTDunitbasedonthesamecompactFGP,onetunablelaserforelevationbeamsteering,andacontrolledwavelengthconverterforazimuthbeamsteering.AplanarPAAusingsuch2DopticalTTDunithasadvantagessuchascompactness,lowbandwidthrequirementfortunablelasersources,andpotentialforlarge-scalesystemimplementations.Theproof-of-conceptexperimentresultsdemonstratethefeasibilityoftheproposedscheme.
