简介:Theauthorshaveproposedadynamicmodelinthispaperbasedontheages,rockseriesandassociations,Sr-NdisotopicsignaturesoftheMesozoicintracontinentalmagmatismoverlyingtheCathaysianandYangtzeblocks.ThemodeldescribestherelationofintracontinentalcollisionandsubductionintheTethyantectonicregiewithPaleo-Pacificoceanicplatesudbuction-strikeslip-extensioninthePacifictectonicregime.During220-150Ma,thehorizontalcollisionbetweentheNorthChinablockandtheYangtzeblock,aswellastheintracontinentalsubductionofsomedivergentmicrocontinentalterranesinthesouthwesternpartofSouthChinaareascribedtotheinfluenceoftheTethyantectonicregime,givingrisetoavolumeofhigh-Israndlow-εNd(t)S-typegranitesonlyintheCathaysianBlock.During145-90Ma,underthegeodynamicbackgoundofsubduction-strikeslip-extensionofthePaleo-PacificoceanicplateonthebasisofthedeeptectonicprocessintheTethyantectonicregime,high-K,alkalirichcalc-alkalineandshoshoniticvolcano-plutoniccomplexesweregeneratedintheYangtzeblock,andhigh-Kcalc-alkalicandbimodalvolcano-plutoniccomplexesweregeneratedintheCathaysianblock.TheoccurrenceofA-typeperalkalinegranitesinthecoastalareasofSoutheastChinaindicatestheendofMesozoicintracontinentalmagmatism.

简介:ThebiomassandenergyproductionofCasuarinaequisetifoliaplantationsaged14werestudiedinHuianCounty,FujianProvince,SoutheastofChina.Thestandingcropbiomasswas152.60t/ha,inwhichthebiomassofbolewas67.02t/ha,accountingfor43.94%ofthetotal,whilethatofrootwas36.83t/haand24.14%,respectively.Netprimaryproductivitywas10.17t/(ha.a).Therangeofgrosscaloricofcomponentswas19.29~20.23kJ/g,withtheaverage19.70kJ/g.Thestandingcropenergywas2987×10^6kJ/ha.Netenergyproductionwas196.8×10^6kJ/ha,whilesolarenergyconversionefficiencywas0.90%.
简介:Theleachingandredistributionofnutrientsinthesurfacelayerof4typesofredsoilsinSoutheastChinawerestudiedwithalysimeterexperimentunderfiledconditions.Resultsshowedthattheleachingconcentratedintherainyseason(fromApriltoJune).Generally,theleachingofsoilnutrientsfromthesurfacelayerofredsoilswasintheorderofCa>Mg>K>NO3-N,Infertilizationtreatment,thetotalamountofsoilnutrientsleachedoutofthesurfacelayerinaredsoilderivedfromgranitewasthehighestinallsoils.Theuptakebygrassdecreasedtheleachingoffertilizerionsinsurfacelayer,particularlyforNo3-N,SoiltotalNandexchangeableK,CaandMginthesurfacelayerdecreasedwithleachingandgrassuptakeduringthe2yearswithoutnewfertilizationofurea,Ca(H2PO4)2,KCl,CaCO3andMgCO3,Camovedfromtheapplicationlayer(0-5cm)offertilizerandaccumulatedinthe10-30cmdepthinthesoilsstudiedexceptthatdervedfromquaternaryredclay.ThedeficiencyofsoilexchangeableKwillbecomeaseriousdegradationprocessfacingtheSoutheastChina.

简介:TheinterannualvariabilityoftheAtlantictropicalcyclone(TC)frequencyiswellknown.Separately,recentstudieshavealsosuggestedthatamuchlonger,multidecadal(40-60year)trendmightbeemergingfromtherecentincreaseinAtlanticTCactivity.However,theoverallstructureoftheintrinsicfrequencies(ortemporalmodes)ofAtlanticTCactivityisnotyetknown.ThefocusofthisstudyistosystematicallyanalyzetheintrinsicfrequenciesofAtlanticTCactivityusinghurricaneandtropicalstormlandfalldatacollectedalongthesoutheastcoast(SEC)oftheUnitedStates.BasedonanEmpiricalModeDecomposition(EMD)analysisofthefrequencyoflandfallTCsalongtheSECfrom1887-1999,wehavefoundthatAtlanticTCactivityhasfourprimary,temporalmodes.Theinterannualandmultidecadalmodesreportedinthepublishedliteraturearetwosuchmodes.Afteridentifyingallprimarymodes,therelativeimportanceofeachmodeanditsphysicalcausecanbeanalyzed.Forexample,themostenergeticmodeistheinterannualmode(2-7yearperiod).Thismodeisknowntobeassociatedwiththe2-7yearElNino/LaNinacycle.TheaveragenumberofannuallandfallingTCsalongtheSECdecreasedby24%duringElNinoyears,butdidnotshowsignificantincreaseduringweakandmoderateLaNinayears.However,intenseLaNinayearsweregenerallyassociatedwithmorethanaveragelandfallingTCsalongtheSEC.TheeffectsofElNinoandLaNinaalsobecamemoresignificantwhenonlyhurricaneswereconsidered.ThesignificanceoftheeffectsofElNinoandLaNinaonlandfallingTCsandhurricanesindifferentUSsoutheastcoastalstatesshowedsignificantdifferences.

简介:ThisstudyrevealsthecomplexnatureoftheconnectionbetweenEurasiansnowandthefollowingsummerseason'smonsoonrainfallbyusingfourdifferentindicatorsofsnowconditionsandcorrelatingeachofthemtosummermonsoonrainfall.Using46yearsofhistoricalrecordsofmeanwintersnowdepth,maximumsnowdepth,andsnowstartingdates,and27yearsofsnowareacoveragefromremotesensingobservationsoverEurasia,theauthorsfounddiversecorrelationpatternsbetweensnowconditionsandthefollowingwarmseason'srainfalloverSouthandSoutheastAsia.Someoftheresultscontradictthewell-knowninverserelationshipsbetweensnowandthesummermonsoon.ThisstudyprovidesaneasycomparisonofresultsinthatitshowstheconnectionsbetweenEurasiansnowandmonsoonrainfallbyusingdifferentEurasiansnowindicatorsbasedonthebestavailablehistoricalrecordswithoutdiscriminationofregionalvariationsinsnowconditions.
简介:InordertounderstandthetypeandextentofmarinefoulinginoffshoreareassoutheastoftheZhujiang(Pearl)Riverdelta,withintheperiodformMay1986toJune1987,twobiologicalbuoysweredeployedatwaterdepthsof95mand113mlocatedin114kmand160kmoffthecoastofHongKong,respectively.Moreover,thefoulingcommunityofaMarexhydrologicalbuoylocatedin115mdepthwater172kmoffHongKongwasalsosurveyed.Theresultsshowthatatotalof78specieswerecollectedandidentified.Thepanelsexposedfor3monthsweremainlydominatedbystalkedbarnaclesConchodermahunteriandLepasanatiferaandhydroidsOrthopyxissp.Asforthebuoys,includingthesubsurfacebuoy,andtheirmooringsystemsexposedfor6and12months,respectively,somehardfoulerssuchascommonoysters,pearloysters,acornbarnaclesandbryozoanswerealsofound.Thecompositionsoffoulingcommunitiesalsovariedgreatlywithdepth.
