  • 简介:Confinementcaninduceunusualbehaviorsofwater.Inspiredbythefabricationofcarbonnanotubeswithnoneircularcrosssections,weperformedmoleculardynamicssimulationstoinvestigatethemo-bilitiesofwaterconfinedincarbonnanochannelswithcircular,square,andequilateraltriangularcrosssectionsoveravarietyofdimensions.Wefindthatwaterexhibitsdisparatemobilitiesacrossdifferenttypesofchannelsbelow0.796nm^2.Notably,comparedwiththeothertwochannels,waterinequi-lateraltriangularchannelsdisplaysthegreatestmobilities.Moreover,at0.425nm^2,differentorderedstructuresarefoundinthethreechannels,andwaterinsidethesquarechannelexhibitsanextremelylowInobility.Itisalsofoundthatabove0.796nm^2,themobilitiesalongthetubeaxisofwatercon-vergetothatofthebulk.Thesephenomenaareunderstoodbyanalyzingthestructure,dynamics,andhydrogenbondingofwater.Ourworkexploresthemobilitiesofwateracrossnoncireularcarbonnanoehannels,whichmayexpandtheprospectofnoneireularnanochannelsinscientificstudiesandpracticalapplications,suchasdesalinationanddrugdelivery.

  • 简介:Thecharacteristicsofavaporbubblewithinthethermalboundarylayerweretheoreticallyanalyzed.ThePhysicalmodelsaccountingforthevariationofinterfacialtensionandfluiddensitywithtemperaturewerepropsedtoinvestigatebubbleinterfaceaspectsandthefluidflowaroundthebubble.Theanalysesdemonstratedthatthevariationininterfacialtensionresultsinveriationsintheliquid-vaporinterfaceshpaeandbubbledynamics,whichmayplayssignificantroleinthedepartureprocessofavaporbubblefromaheatedwallsurface,Increasingtemperaturegradientsintheboundarylayerandthegravitationalfieldinduceacontactlinecontractionandcorrespondinglypromotesbubbledeparture.Thesimulationofliquidflowaroundthebubbleshowsthatnaturalconvectiondominatestheflowforearthconditions;however,thethermocapillaryforcesprovidetheprincipalcatalystforbubbledepartureinamicrogravityenvironment.TheresultsindicatethatboththevaporbubblecontractionandtheMarangoniflowmayincreasetheheattransferaroundthevaporbubbleandmaycausethebubbletomoveawayfromtheheatingsurface,furtherincreasingheattransfer.

  • 简介:Experimentswereconductedtoinvestigatetheeffectofimpellergeometryandtongueshapeontheflowfieldofcrossflowfans.Threeimpellers(Ⅰ,Ⅱ,Ⅲ)havingsameouterdiameter,butdifferentradiusratioandbladeangleswereemployedfortheinvestigation.Eachimpellerwastestedwithtwotongueshapes.Flowsurveywascarriedoutforeachimpellerandtongueshapeattwoflowcoefficients.andforeachflowcoefficientatdifferentcircumferentialpositions.Theflowistwo-dimensionalalongthebladespanexceptneartheshrouds.Thetotalpressuredevelopedbytheimpellersineachcaseisfoundtobemaximumatacircumferentialpositionofaround270°.Thetotalandstaticpressuresattheinletofimpellersaremoreorlesssameregardlessofimpellerandtonguegeometry,buttheyvaryconsiderablyatexitoftheimpellers.ImpellerⅢwithtongueT2developshighertotalpressureandefficiencywhereasimpellerⅡwithtongueT2developsminimumtotalpressure.HigherdiffusionandsmallervortexsizearethereasonsforbetterperformanceofimpellerⅢwithtongueT2。

  • 简介:Multipartiteentangledstateisthebasicresourceforimplementingquantuminformationnetworksandquantumcomputation.Inthispaper,wepresenttheexperimentaldemonstrationoftheeight-partitetwo-diamondshapeclusterstatesforcontinuousvariables,whichconsistofeightspatiallyseparatedandentangledopticalmodes.Eightresourcesqueezedstatesoflightwithclassicalcoherenceareproducedbyfournondegenerateopticalparametricamplifiersandthentheyaretransformedtotheeight-partitetwo-diamondshapeclusterstatesbyaspeciallydesignedlinearopticalnetwork.Sincethespatiallyseparatedmultipartiteentangledstatecanbepreparedoff-line,itcanbeconvenientlyappliedinthefuturequantumtechnology.

  • 简介:Thephotoplethysmogram(PPG)ofapulsewave,similarinappearancetothearterialbloodpressure(ABP)waveform,containsrichinformationaboutthecardiovascularsystem.ThedecaytimeconstantRC,equaltotheproductofperipheralresistanceRandtotalarterialcomplianceC,isameaningfulcardiovascularmodelparameterinvascularassessment.UsingoramelioratingtheexistingABPmethodsdoesnotachieveasatisfactoryestimationofRCfromthePPGvolumepulse(VRC).Thus,anovelnon-iterativeshapemethod(NSM)ofevaluatingVRCisintroducedinthispaper.Themathematicexpressionbetweenanovel,readilyavailablemorphologicalparametercalledtheareadifferenceratio(ADR)andVRCwasestablished.AsitwasdifficulttocalculateVRCfromthecomplicatedexpressionanalytically,werecommendestimatingitusingapiecewiselinearinterpolationcriterion.Also,sincetheeffectofthePPGmagnitudeiseliminatedinthecalculationofADR,precaliberationornormalizationisdispensableintheNSM.ResultsofhumanexperimentsindicatedthattheNSMwascomputationallyefficient,andthesimulationexperimentsconfirmedthattheNSMwastheoreticallyavailableforABP.

  • 简介:Neutronusuallyappearswithgamma,whichisrequiringthedetectorhasthecapabilityofngammadiscrimination.Pulseshapediscrimination(PSD)isacommonapproachofn,gammajudgment,butrequiredacomplexprocesstoselectasuitablediscriminationfactor,andpoorperformanceinthelowenergyrange.AmethodbasedonthetimeintervalofadjacentSignalswasdisruptedandadoptedtocomparetopulseshapediscriminationinthefastneutrondetectionmethod.AgoodagreementbetweentheadoptedmethodandPSDmethodwasachieved,includingthetotalcountratioandneutroncountratio.Thecomparisonprovesthecorrectnessofthetheoreticalderivationandvalidatesthemethodinpractice.TheadvantagesandlimitationsofthemethodbasedontimeIntervalofadjacentsignalswereanalyzed.Themethodprovidesaneffectivewaytoconfirmthecalibrationoftheneutrondetectionofaliquidscintillationdetector.Also,asasimplewayonlyrequiringthetimeinformationaboutevents,thedescribedmethodhaslargeapplicationpotentialinsomecaseoffastneutronfluxorintensitymeasurement.
