简介：Thisstudyaimstoinvestigateplumbingdoityourself(DIY)materialsfordevelopmentandpracticalissuesinatownshipofSouthernTaiwanandtoexploretheteachingprocessinvolvedforadultstudentplumbingcourses.Furthermore,innovativeteachingstrategieshavebeenassessedaswell.Theresearchwasbasedonthelearningprogressof22adultstudentstakingplumbingDIYcourses,heldbyPingtungTownshipPublicLibrary.Aftereightweeksofcoursework,satisfactionquestionnairesandopen-endedquestionswereusedtoexploretheirsatisfaction.Thestudyfindingsaccountforvariousarrangementsoftheworkshop,theteachingprocesses,andrelatedstrategies.Theplumbingcoursesincluderepairandreplacementoflights,switchsockets,simpleunclogging,etc.Throughillustration,demonstration,hands-onoperation,andinteractivemedia,adultstudents’learningandinterestswereimproved.Thecourseandmaterialswerehighlypraisedbyadultstudents;theyallplannedtotakeadvancedcoursesinthenearfuture.
