  • 简介:Thispaperstudiestheretardationprocessforphotosensitizedoxidationof9,10-diphenylanthracene(9,10-DPA)inducedbyhypocrellinA(HA)asasensitizerinthepresenceofpraseodymiumion(Pr3+).ExperimentalresultshowsthatthepromptfluorescenceofHAcanbequenchedbyPr3+inmethanol.Measurementoffluorescencelifetimerevealsthatitremainsconstantwithincreasingcon-centrationofPr3+,thusastaticquenchingcharacterisindicated.ThethermallyinduceddelayedfluorescenceofHAcanalsobequenchedeffectivelybythePr3+-HAcomplex.Thedelayedfluorescencelifetimeisre-ducedfrom1744±50nsto700±50nsand500±50nsinthepresenceofoxygenandPr3+respectively,thusthequenchingofdelayedfluorescenceisofdynamiccharacter.Ascomparedwiththedoublereciprocalrela-tionshipofconcentrationbetweentheoxidationproductderivedfromsingletoxygenandthereactant,itshowsthatthePr3+-HAcomplexcanquenchnotonlytheexcitedtripletofHAbutalsothesingletoxygenandthereforethephotosensitizedoxidationof9,10-DPAisretardedefficiently.

  • 简介:Intensevisibleemissionsfromdysprosium(Dy3+)ionsdopedglassesbecameprospectivefordiversetechnologicalapplications.Inthispaper,physical,opticalandstructuralpropertiesofmagnesiumborateglassesdopedwithvariedconcentrationsofDy2O3wereexamined.Suchglassesweresynthesisedbymeltquenchingmethodandcharacterizedatroomtemperatureusingseveralanalyticaltechniques.Luminescenceandabsorptionspectra(inthevisibleregion)ofas-quenchedsampleswereusedtoevaluatethephysicalandopticalproperties.XRDpatternconfimstheamorphousstateofas-quenchedsamples.TheFouriertransforminfrared(FTIR)spectraofglassesrevealvariousbondingvibrationsassignedtodifferentfunctionalgroups.UV-vis-NIRspectradiscloseeightabsorptionbandsaccompaniedbyabandforhypersensitivetransitionpositionedat1260nm(6H15/2→6F11/2).ThevaluesofdirectandindirectopticalenergybandgapofthestudiedglassesaredecreasedwiththeincreaseofDy3+ioncontents.Thephotoluminescencespectraofallglassesundertheexcitationof380nmdisplaytwoprominentemissionbandscentredat497nm(4F9/2→6H15/2,blue)and587nm(4F9/2→6H13/2,green).Theachievedintenseluminescencefromtheproposedglasscompositionmaybebeneficialforsolidstatelaserapplications.

  • 简介:Inordertostabilisetheoperationoftheblastfurnaceandtoraiseitsoperationefficiency,researchworksfortheapplicationofmicrowaveandlaserscanningtechnologiestothemeasurementhavebeenintensivelycarriedoutatChinaSteelCorporation(CSC).Tomonitortheburdenprofileduringtheoperation,amicrowaveburdenprofilemeasuringsystemwasdeveloped.Thesystemconsistsofaradarunit,asignalprocessingsystem,andadrivingdevicewhichiscapableofrotatingtheradartoscantheburdensurfaceinaspecifieddirection.Anitrogencoolingsystemwasdesignedtoprotectthemeasurementsystem.AprototypeburdenprofilemeterwassuccessfullytestedinNo.1blastfurnacein2008,andapermanentonewasinstalledatNo.3blastfurnace.ThesystemhasprovidedusefulinformationforadjustingthechargingsequenceinNo.3blastfurnace.Foranotherapplication,3-Dlaserscanningtechnologyisemployedtomonitortheblastfurnaceliningcondition.Tothisend,adataregistrationmethodhasbeendeveloped,throughwhichtwomeasuredrangeimagessensedatdifferentperiodandlocationscanbefittedintothesamecoordinatesystem.Inpractice,theerosionoftheblastfurnaceliningcanbeestimatedwhenthecurrentinnerprofileiscomparedwiththattakenbeforetheblow-inoperation.ThistechnologyisalsoadoptedtoevaluatetheperformanceofgunningoperationintheblastfurnacesatCSC.

  • 简介:AdetailedstudyofthefluorescenceemissionpropertiesandenergytransfermechanisminEr3+/Tm3+co-dopedleadsilicateglasseswasreported.Enhancednearinfrared1.8μmandvisibleup-conversionemissionswereinvestigatedunder808and980nmexcitations,respectively.TheenergytransfermechanismbetweenEr3+andTm3+wasanalyzedaccordingtotheabsorptionspectra,theemissionspectraandthelevelstructuresofEr3+andTm3+.TheenergytransferefficiencybetweenEr3+andTm3+reached68.1%intheEr3+/Tm3+co-dopedleadsilicateglasseswhenpumpedby808nmlaserdiode.Basedontheabsorptionspectra,theJudd-Ofeltparameters,spontaneousemissionprobability,absorptionandemissioncrosssections,gaincoefficientswerecalculatedandanalyzed.Itwasfoundthatthecalculatedemissioncrosssectionandthemaximumgaincoefficientaround1.8μmwere4.9×10–21cm2and1.12cm–1,respectively.TheseresultsindicatedthattheEr3+/Tm3+co-dopedlead-silicateglasseshadpotentialapplicationinnearinfraredlasers.
