简介：TheregulationoftheNationalSignificantSeismicMonitoringandProtectionRegions(NSSMPRforshort)isdefinedbytheLawofthePeoplesRepublicofChinaonProtectingAgainstandMitigatingEarthquakeDisasters.ThefirststageofimplementationoftheregulationofNSSMPRintheChinesemainlandwasfinishedfrom1996to2005.Thesecondstageisbeingcarriedonfrom2006to2020.WiththesupportoftheNationalSocialScienceFoundation,thispaperfollowsupandevaluatestheimplementationoftheregulationofNSSMPRfrom1996to2012intheChinesemainland.Basedonanalysisofearthquakeexamplesandinvestigationdata,wefindthattheeffectofdisastermitigationisgood,andonthisbasis,somesuggestionsareproposedtoimprovetheregulationofNSSMPR.
