简介:Inmanyengineeringpractices,frequentlyanimpulsivewaveisaconsequenceofdischargeofashockwavefromtheexitofatubeleadingtoanannoyingnoiselikasonicboom.Theimpulsivenoisehasoftenbeenamajorfactortolimittheperformanceofflowdevicesaswellastoaffecthazardousinfluencesonhumanbeing.Thecorrentpaperdescribesanewcontrolmethodforthereductionofimpulsivewave.Anexperimentusingasimpleshocktubewascarriedouttoexaminetheeffectofacavity/helicalvanesystemontheimpulsivewavestrength.Theresultingimpulsivewavewasinfluencedbythedetailedconfigurationofthehelicalvaneinsidethecavitywhichislocatedatthevicinityoftheexitofatube.Theeffectofthehelicalvanewascomparedwithnohelicalvaneteststoensurevalidationofthiskindofcontrolstrategy,Theresultsshowedthatthestrengthoftheimpulsivewavecouldbesignificantlyreducedbythecurrentpassivecontrolusingthecavity/helicalvanesystem.
