摘要
Inthe60yearssincethefoundingofthePeople'sRepublicofChina,thecountryhaspursuedapeace-orientedforeignpolicy.AftertheendoftheBeijingOlympicsinOctober2008,China'sforeignrelationsbegantotakeonanewlook.Thecountrynowparticipatesmoreactivelyinglobalandregionalissues,forgingmultilateralandbilateralrelationships,andenteringintodiscussionsonmaritimerightsandmilitarystrategy.ItcouldbesaidthatChinaisnowshowingmoreinitiative,independence,confidence,transparencyandagreatersenseofresponsibility,andstrengtheningcooperationwithallpartners.ThesechangesaremainlyduetoChina'sincreasingcomprehensivenationalstrengthanditsneedtointegrateintotheinternationalsysteminapeacefulandharmoniousmannerwithbenefitstoall.Chinahasredefineditsidentityandreassesseditsinterests.Thesechangesareongoing,andthenation'sdiplomacyisstillnotperfect,butthegeneraldirectionhasnowbeenset.
