Effect of stabilizing elements Nb and Ti on the microstructure and properties of low carbon ferritic stainless steel

摘要 Abstract:Theeffectofstabilizingelements,suchasNbandTi,onthemicrostmctureandpropertiesoflowcarbonferriticstainlesssteel(FSS)hasbeeninvestigated.TheresultsoftheThermo-calcsimulationhaveshownthattheinterstitialelements,suchasCandN,maybecompletelystabilizedbytheadditionofNbandTi.WiththeincreaseofNbandTicontents,thea+γtwophasesgraduallytransfertoasingleα-phaseunderahightemperaturecondition,andthecontentofthecarbideM_(23)C_6graduallydecreases.ThemicrostructurehasindicatedthatthecombinedadditionofNbandTicanpromotetherecrystallizationofthebandstructureandformmoreuniformequiaxedgrains.Also,withtheincreaseofNbandTicontents,theelongation,ther-valueandthecorrosionresistanceofcold-rolledandannealedsheetsareimprovedprominently.IncomparisonwiththeeffectofTi,theadditionofNbismorebeneficialtotheincreaseofr-valueandthecorrosionresistance.
