TakingNingxiaHuiAutonomousRegionasanexample,thisresearchmakesanempiricalanalysisonthefactorsinfluencingthemigrationactivitiesoftheresearchsubject:thesouthernmountainousfarmerswhodon'temigrateandthefarmerswhoimmigratedinHongsibaoDevelopmentZone.WithProbitModel,theresearchshowsthattheage,educationaldegree,farminglandpercapita,numberofschool-agedchildren,vocationaltrainingexperienceandthequantityofgainedinformationareallthefactorswhichinfluencethefarmers'emigrationchoice.However,theinfluentialstrengthofthefactorsisdifferent.Theresearchaimstoprovidethegovernmentwithmorescientificevidencesforitspoliciesofpromotingecologicalmigrationandtoencouragemorepovertyfamiliestoimmigrateintotheareassuitableforliving.
