摘要 Asimple,lowcost,easilymaintained,andreliablefielddistortionsparkgaphasbeendevelopedtooperateatavoltageupto30kV.Theheaderconstructionnecessarytoattachthesparkgapswitchtoasingle12.5μF,40kV(10kJ)capacitorisdescribed.Themainfeaturesofthesparkgapareitswiderangeofvoltageoperation,highcurrentcapacity,lowinductanceandlonglifetime.Theperformanceofsparkgaphasbeentestedinaplasmafocusandresultsarepresentedinthisreport.
