摘要 Flushingpipeoutletsareprovidedatthefloorofsedimentationbasinsforflushingoutofthedepositedsediments.Theseoutletshavetobepositionedinsuchawaysoastoremovethedepositedsedimentseffectively.Intheabsenceofrationalmethodforthelocation,presentlytheoutletsarelocatedbyjudgment.Areviewofliteratureindicatedthatthereisnojudiciousmethodavailableforobtainingtheoutletdiameter.Presentedhereinarethedesignequationsfortheflushingoutlets.Itishopedthattheequationwillbeusefultothedesignengineers.
